POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director in harmony with Christian values of  this Association and in accordance with the policies and mission of the Association, the Pool   Manager is responsible for overseeing the aquatic area and providing direction to staff. Pool  Manager is also responsible for ensuring the aquatics staff provides a high level of customer   service to all members and guests and ensures a safe and positive pool environment.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Creating monthly staff schedules and ensuring all shifts are covered.

2. Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and Y health and safety regulations and maintains accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.

3. Plan, train and assist with safety drills and in-service trainings throughout the season.

4. Teaches swim lessons and lifeguard as needed.

5. Develops positive relationships with members and participants.

6. Maintains aquatics equipment with a high attention to safety and cleanliness.

7. Maintains and assists in ordering of first aid and canteen supplies.

8. Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum age of 18

2. Current certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer by American Red Cross

3. Strong relational skills

4. Demonstrate an ability to lead, motivate and work effectively with people of all ages

5. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

6.  Ability to adapt and respond effectively and quickly to emergency situations in an ever-changing environment.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move a large amount of weight.
